Shopping and pineapples
Wow its hot here! Decided to wander into town to get some tonic for the duty free vodie and a strawberry Mivi. Turned out to be quite a trek - didn't really make it as we were completely sweltering! It's hot hot hot! We were dripping in sweat just standing still! Like 35C and humid as hell. Phew!
On the way back found a woman selling pineapples on the road side - refreshing and tasty!
It's bloody hot!
Went the wrong way but ended up at a beach with locals playing rugby on it. Thought we could get back to the hotel but was blocked by mangroves so had to retrace our steps. Brian not happy as we were getting bitten by mozzies.
Oh, did I mention it was hot?!?

Fiji Time!
Quick 3 hr flight to Fiji. Bit vague at the airport as we were supposed to pick up our Feejee Experience vouchers for our stay but they weren't there and then the pick up for the accommodation turned up an hour later than we expected but apparently that's the Fiji way: things sort themselves out in the end! Guess we go with the flow!
Checked in to Smugglers Cove where we were staying - seems a really nice place - all relaxed and holiday like - strange for us to just relax after all the stuff we did in NZ.
We like Fiji a lot - much for like being in Asia but without the intensity. Suddenly like being on holiday.
Natives very friendly! :)

Goodbye New Zealand
Up at 4! Not as bad as it could be as we were in bed before 10 last night.
Waiting for the shuttle to the airport :)
In the Supertrumps of life, en-suite rain shower with fresh fluffy towels beats camp site in all categories!

It's not me it's you
Up early to pack and then drive down to Auckland Airport to part ways with the van. The camper experience was great but in some ways glad to say goodbye to it now - looking forward to hotels and no driving!
Checked into Holiday Inn transfer hotel as we are flying 6:50am tomorrow then went for a pie in the local caf and then chill out.
Fiji tomorrow!!!

Back to Tutukaka
Boat got back around 4 and we updated our dive logs and then back to the van for a bottle of red in the sun and then back to Schnappa Rock for another great meal. Really feels like being on holiday :)
Bed early and dreaming of fish.

A tour and some rowers
After second dive took a tour around the islands again - actually worth the trip even without the dive!
On the way back the skipper heard on the blower that there was a group of Auzzies who had rowed all the way from Australia so we went to say hello and give them some support.
What a fab couple of days and a great way to end our NZ leg of the trip. Nice too as didn't have to drive the van at all that day :)
