Entertainment

Ate as a group - had a laugh chatting to everyone and then came the evenings entertainment: it's Polenesian night! Off to a dodgy start as the CD kept skipping but the knife dancing and fire dancing at the end was actually pretty impressive. Partied the rest of the evening away with the others - a fun night!

Kava Ceremoney

At 6 we were summoned by the banging of logs to drink kava - a local brew made from the root of a plant which makes your tongue go numb. Tasted like mud though but the locals love it!

Mango Bay

Arrived at our accommodation for the night - really nice place :) spent an hour soaking in the pool to wash off the sand. Really chilled now :-D

Sandboarding

Next stop Sandboarding! Taken to the most massive dunes and this is me shooting down sand the temperature of lava. Easy coming down - not quite so climbing back up again!

As anticipated the others on the tour are more than half our age but to be fair, we two done the bestest fastest runs down the dune! Not sure if that was experience of age or just middle age spread!

Life's a beach

Next stop the beach where we sun bathed and swam and then had lunch. Getting to know the others a bit now and adapting to the general feel of it all - pretty relaxed and the tour is not in yer face at all

Won't you take me to, Nandi Town

Up early after a clammy night sleep to meet the tour at 8. Turns out needn't have as they miscounted the people so had to wait an hour for a bigger bus! Yes I know: it's Fiji Time!

Anyway they gave us a quick drive around town and then dropped us off for a mooch. The market was great. Brian bought a sulu which is a little kilt like thing needed when you enter a village which he was quite strangely excited about :-/

Beach dining

Had a kip and then down for dinner on the beach. Fab sunset too. This is the life!

Looking forward to starting our trip tomorrow :)
